AUTOGRAPH SESSIONS, M/T NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM & PEOPLE SHOTS

Orangeline

On Saturday and Sunday there where two autograph sessions held at the big tent in the coral. Both the morning and afternoon sessions were "sold out" with fans getting in line long before the scheduled start times. For those involved (all drag racing seniors) it was mind boggling that so many people remembered them.

Each fan was given an 11"x14" handout and asked, in the interest of time, to not have more than 2 other items autographed. Over the four sessions well over 1500 were given out and ultimately signed. A lot of old racers had writers cramp, and several were on Ebay by the end of the weekend.

Here are some photos from Sunday of just some of the old timers who took a turn at the tables.

The line was endless - at every session.

There was much speculation about the combined ago of The Greek's volunteer crew but there was no doubt it was over 500 years. And, all these old guys didn't do a bad job doing an engine swap in Chris' Big Show car on Friday.
